Plan Your Visit

Know before you go!

Children & Minors

Families have enjoyed the haunted farm of Legends of Fear since the very beginning. One of the questions we are asked most often is, “Is Legends of Fear appropriate for my child?”

There isn’t one answer for every child. Parents and guardians know their children best, and only they can decide whether the experience is appropriate.

Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult while visiting Legends of Fear. For the safety of our youngest guests, infants, babies, and children under the age of 6 are not permitted on the Haunted Hayride or The Hallow.

Many school-age children who understand the difference between fantasy and reality enjoy the Haunted Hayride, while The Hallow offers a more immersive experience with scares at much closer range.

Based on our experience, we generally recommend the Haunted Hayride for children over the age of 9, while The Hallow is best suited for children over the age of 11. However, we have also seen brave young children and frightened teenagers, so we ultimately leave that decision to parents and guardians who know their child best.

Throughout your visit, guests will experience loud sound effects, banging and startling noises, horns, bells, darkness, low lighting, flashing lights, fog effects, spooky music, live actors, masks, costumes, theatrical makeup, and other theatrical effects designed to create an immersive Halloween experience.

Every child reacts differently. If your child is easily frightened by Halloween decorations or haunted attractions, or struggles with anxiety, claustrophobia, or another health or medical condition that may be affected by an intense Halloween environment, we encourage parents and guardians to carefully consider whether the experience is appropriate.

We are a family farm first. Our goal is to create an unforgettable Halloween tradition, not genuine fear or distress. If a child becomes visibly frightened or no longer wishes to continue, we will never force them to participate, even if a parent or guardian encourages them to continue. Our staff will safely escort the child and their family from the attraction as quickly as possible. Whenever practical, our actors will make reasonable efforts to avoid intentionally directing scares toward children or guests who are visibly distressed.

For more than 30 years, families have made Legends of Fear part of their Halloween tradition. We hope your visit becomes a Halloween tradition your family looks forward to sharing for years to come.

Timed Admission

Your ticket reserves a scheduled admission time to enter the attraction queue. While we strive to keep every attraction operating on schedule, your admission time is not a guaranteed boarding time.

Guests with the same admission time are admitted into the attraction queue together. If operations are running ahead of schedule, we may begin admitting guests from later admission times earlier than expected.

As a live event, attraction operations may occasionally be delayed due to weather, safety, technical, or operational reasons. If this happens, admission times may shift slightly while normal operations resume. Guests with Premier FastPass Admission will continue to receive priority access.

What If I’m Late?

If you arrive after your scheduled admission time, we will do our best to accommodate you as close to your reserved admission time as possible.

However, we cannot accommodate late arrivals after the Ticket Booth has closed or once attractions begin closing for the evening. To help ensure a smooth arrival, we recommend arriving 35 minutes before your scheduled admission time, or 45 minutes on high-demand nights as noted on our calendar.

Arrival & Check-In

Please arrive 35 minutes before your scheduled admission time, or 45 minutes on high-demand nights as noted on our calendar, to allow enough time to park, pass through security, check in at our Welcome Center or Ticket Booth, and begin your evening without feeling rushed.

All guests, including those who purchased tickets online, must check in before entering Legends of Fear.

After security, guests check in at the Welcome Center or Ticket Booth before entering the midway and making their way to their scheduled attraction.

Our goal is simple: to have every guest ready to enjoy their evening before reaching their first attraction.

Security Screening

For the safety of our guests and staff, everyone entering Legends of Fear must pass through a brief security screening.

To help speed your arrival, please leave prohibited items in your vehicle before approaching the entrance.

The following items are not permitted inside Legends of Fear:

  • Weapons or weapon replicas
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Illegal drugs
  • Fireworks or explosives
  • Laser pointers
  • Costume masks or face coverings that conceal a guest’s identity
  • Smoking or vaping anywhere inside Legends of Fear
  • Any item deemed unsafe by Legends of Fear staff

Guests who arrive prepared will enjoy a faster, smoother entry into the event. Thank you for helping us provide a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Severe Weather Policy

Legends of Fear is an outdoor event. We recommend dressing appropriately for the weather and wearing comfortable, closed-toe shoes suitable for walking on natural terrain. High heels, flip-flops, and other unstable footwear are not recommended due to uneven walking surfaces throughout the event.

Legends of Fear operates during light rain. Because weather conditions can vary significantly from one area to another, all operational decisions are based on conditions at the farm, not forecasts or weather conditions elsewhere.

We do not automatically close because rain is in the forecast. Our team closely monitors conditions throughout the day and typically makes operational decisions during the afternoon of the event.

If severe weather creates unsafe conditions, the event may be delayed or closed until it is safe to resume. Any operational decision is based on the overall safety of the event, not simply whether it is raining.

The safety of our guests and staff will always be our highest priority.

If a weather-related closure becomes necessary, ticket holders will be notified promptly by email with instructions for rebooking or requesting a refund through our ticket provider. We will also post updates on our website and social media.

Accessibility

Legends of Fear is an outdoor event located on a working farm. Guests should expect natural terrain, gravel walkways, uneven walking surfaces, hills, and changing elevations throughout the property.

The Haunted Hayride requires guests to climb two steps to board and exit the hay wagon.

The Hallow follows a long outdoor walking trail over gravel pathways and uneven terrain. Guests who use a wheelchair, walker, crutches, or a cane may find the experience challenging.

The Haunted Hayride and The Hallow include loud sound effects, theatrical lighting, fog effects, darkness, and other sensory elements that may not be suitable for everyone.

Because every guest’s needs are unique, we encourage you to contact us before your visit. Our team will be happy to discuss the experience and help you determine whether Legends of Fear is appropriate for your individual needs.

Health Advisory

Legends of Fear is designed to provide an intense Halloween experience and may not be suitable for everyone.

Guests who are pregnant or have heart conditions, neck, back, orthopedic, or head injuries, seizure disorders, respiratory conditions, high blood pressure, a current fever or flu-like illness, or other medical conditions that may be aggravated by loud noises, sudden scares, flashing lights, fog effects, uneven terrain, or movement associated with the attractions should carefully consider their participation.

Guests with claustrophobia, panic disorders, or other conditions that may be affected by intense fear, psychological stress, or sensory stimulation should also carefully consider whether this event is appropriate for them.

If you have questions about whether Legends of Fear is appropriate for your health or physical condition, we encourage you to consult your physician or other qualified healthcare provider before attending.

Service Animals

Service animals are welcome at Legends of Fear in accordance with applicable law and must remain under the control of their handler at all times. Guests attending with a service animal are encouraged to identify themselves upon arrival.

Legends of Fear is an intense Halloween event featuring loud sound effects, sudden scares, flashing lights, fog effects, darkness, and immersive environments.

A service animal is trained to remain alert and assist its handler. During a visit to Legends of Fear, the animal will be exposed to an environment intentionally designed to appear dangerous and stressful, without any way of understanding that the experience is part of a theatrical performance.

While we cannot alter the experience, our live actors will make reasonable efforts, when practical, to avoid intentionally directing scares toward a service animal. We encourage handlers to carefully consider whether the Haunted Hayride’s full continuous ride is appropriate for their animal before boarding.

Handlers participating in The Hallow who need to leave the attraction may do so with assistance from a nearby staff member.

Note: Reverted to this lighter version, per your direction not to go extreme yet. The more restrictive ADA-specific policy (service dogs only, excluding emotional support/comfort/therapy animals) is set aside for now, not deleted, in case you want to revisit it later.

Photography & Video

Guests are welcome to take personal photographs throughout the midway and in designated photo opportunity areas.

To help preserve the safety of our guests and the immersive experience, please observe the following guidelines:

  • Flash photography is not permitted inside the attractions.
  • Selfie sticks, body-mounted cameras, and drones are not permitted.
  • Members of the media, influencers, YouTubers, photographers, and videographers should identify themselves at the Welcome Center upon arrival and receive approval from Legends of Fear before recording or creating content for publication.
  • Please respect the privacy of other guests and avoid photographing or recording them without their permission.

Thank you for helping us preserve the experience for everyone.

Lost & Found

Losing a cell phone or vehicle keys can quickly turn an enjoyable evening into a frustrating experience. Before entering the attractions, we strongly encourage guests to secure all personal belongings, especially vehicle keys, cell phones, wallets, and other loose items, in a zippered pocket, purse, or other secure location.

Because Legends of Fear is a live event operating in darkness, we are unable to search for lost items while attractions are operating.

If you lose an item during your visit, please report it to the Welcome Center before leaving the event. We will make every reasonable effort to locate lost items after the attractions have closed for the evening.

Parking

Parking at Legends of Fear is free.

If our primary parking areas reach capacity, additional off-site parking with complimentary shuttle service will be provided. Parking attendants will direct guests to the appropriate parking location.

Motor coaches and buses are welcome. Upon arrival, our parking attendants will direct drivers to the designated parking area for that evening.

Food & Beverages

Outside food and beverages are not permitted inside Legends of Fear.

A variety of food, beverages, and seasonal refreshments are available for purchase throughout the midway during your visit.
